When do Black Friday deals start?
The day itself is 27 November 2026, but most big retailers in the US, UK and Europe now start their offers earlier, often a week or more before. Amazon has run multi-day Black Friday events in recent years and announces its own dates. We add brand codes to VoucherVault as soon as we see them on the brands' own sites.
How to spot a real deal
- Check the price history. Consumer groups such as Which? have repeatedly found that many "Black Friday deals" were the same price or cheaper at other times of year. Price trackers help for big items.
- Ignore the "was" price and compare the price you'd pay at two or three other stores.
- Make a list beforehand of things you already planned to buy, and set a budget.
- Stack legitimately: a sale price plus a code plus cashback can all apply if the terms allow.
Your rights when buying online
- UK: under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you can usually cancel most online orders within 14 days of delivery for any reason.
- EU: the 14-day right of withdrawal gives similar protection for online purchases.
- US: there's no general legal right to return; it depends on the store's policy, and many extend return windows over the holidays. Paying by credit card can add protection.
